Red Rocks Cares: Neighborly Generosity, Extraordinary Impact

What began as a simple holiday gathering in a neighbor’s basement has grown into one of the community’s most meaningful philanthropic traditions. Before Red Rocks Country Club had a clubhouse, the first Holiday Boutiques were hosted in a Willow Springs resident’s basement.

When the original clubhouse was built, the event found its permanent home and began to flourish. A $3 entry fee was introduced, with proceeds benefiting Ralston House, a child advocacy center serving Jefferson County.

Today, the Holiday Boutique remains a beloved tradition — a festive gathering where neighbors showcase local talent and small businesses while raising funds for charity.

Building on that spirit of generosity, the Red Rocks Cares Gala was established as its own signature event, designed to bring the community together in an even more powerful way to make an impact beyond the Club.

Last summer, the community gathered at Red Rocks Country Club for a wine-tasting themed Gala that marked a historic milestone. With 101 silent auction items and 14 live auction packages generously donated by local businesses, neighbors, and Club staff, the evening raised a record-breaking $278,333.

Since formal fundraising efforts began in 2014, the committee has now surpassed $1.2 million raised, reaching a cumulative total of $1,218,418 for local nonprofits.

This year, four children’s charities will be supported: Ralston House, Brent’s Place, Jeffco Eats, and There With Care. These organizations provide life-changing services, including long-term housing for families undergoing treatment for life-threatening illnesses, advocacy and prevention programs for abused children, weekend meals for children facing food insecurity, and critical support for families navigating medical crises. Every dollar raised goes directly to these organizations.

From a basement boutique to a million-dollar movement, Red Rocks Cares is a testament to what can happen when community, generosity, and purpose come together.
